Q: How long does it take to get me set up after I apply?
A: About two days.
Q:Whats the catch?
A: We are offering the free terminal as a gift and a thank you for choosing a Merchant Accounts Maui. We want to build our business by helping you build yours.
Q: When will I get my free terminal?
A: Being that you are responsable for shipping, you can choose how you want your free terminal sent. there are three choices, ground, second day and next day air.
Q: I have credit card orders now, do I have to wait for my terminal?
A: You can start processing your credit card orders using any touchtone phone including your cell phone, as soon as your account is activated using our Dial Pay system, about 2 business days from when you submit your merchant agreement to us.
Q: How long does it take for the money from my credit card sales to get into my checking account?
A: Two business days is normal for Visa and Mastercard. American Express and Discover may take a day or two longer.
Q: What is it going to cost up front?
A: The shipping cost for the terminal. However, if you choose the Way System wireless terminal, there is a one time set up fee for Cingular Wireless Service of $35 and $20 per month for your wireless service. We will set your Cingular account up for you and debit your checking account after. This way, we can program your terminal and test it before we ship it to you.
Q: Is there an annual fee?
A: Yes and it is only $79 per year. This provides complete technical support and terminal replacement. Your checking will be debited the 1st of the Month, and again each year there after.
Q: What happens if my free terminal malfunctions?
A: You would contact our 24/7 tech support. If they cannot fix the problem, they will ship you a new terminal FedEx Next Day Air, all, at no cost to you.
Q: Is there a transaction fee?
A: Yes there is, a $.25 cents transaction fee for the Nurit and $.30 cents transaction fee for the Way System wireless.
Q: Is there a Visa, MasterCard service or statement fee?
A: Yes, and it is only $10 per month.
Q: When and how do I pay for my merchant services?
A: A statement is sent out the 1st of every month for services provided for the previous month. Plus you can also go online to view your account at any time. All fees are debited automatically from your checking account on the first business day of the month for the previous months services. All billing is in arrears, meaning you pay for services that you have already been provided the month before.
Q: Do you have a minimum billing?
A: Yes we do and it is only $25 per month. Here is an example of what that means. Say you processed 11 sales of $100 each for a total of $1100 this month at 1.79% that would be $19.69 plus 11 times .25cents transaction fees the total would be $22.44, so $2.56 would be added to your statement to equal at least $25. If you have 15 sales totaling $1500 in that month you would be over the minimum at $26.86, then the minimum does not apply.
Q: What terminal should I choose?
A: The Nurit 8320 has a built in printer. It is not wireless but extremely powerful, is small and easy to transport. You have several ways to process credit cards with this terminal. If your sales location has no hard phone line this terminal can be set to Store and Memory Forward, which means you can still swipe all of your credit card sales and the terminal will still print out a receipt for your customer to sign as usual. Then when you get home you just plug it into your phone line and the terminal will authorize all the sales and then you can batch and close out all the sales as swiped transactions which is the lower rate and much faster, viruses, keying them in! This is very cool. With this terminal there is no wireless provider needed, so you save the $35 setup fee and the $20 per month.
The Way terminals are very small and all wireless. You can swipe all the major credit cards and get authorization within a few seconds. They also have the store and memory forward feature, so, if you are out of the signal area, just swipe the cards and it will authorize them as soon as you are back in a service area. This terminal is shipped programmed and ready to go. Just remember that there is a one time $35 set up fee that Cingular charges and $20 per month. With the wireless terminal you can also log onto a secure server and submit credit card orders online and send e-mail receipts to your customers. Remember that no matter which terminal you choose there will be times when your host or sales location, either has no phone or there is no wireless coverage. In those cases we showed you that we have Store and memory forward features on all the terminals. Plus! We also will provide you with Dial Pay as a back up, this is a system where by you can call up our server and authorize your transaction on the phone, but more then that it will be funded and settled right then and there. So, you would not have to key it into your terminal at all. The Way System does not have a built in printer so you will need to imprint the card using a manual imprinter, or purchase the optional portable printer. They are very fast and easy to use. We offer a professional imprinter for only $35. You DO NOT send us the imprints, you would keep the signed copy in your files. All funds are sent directly to your checking account electronically. All terminals are loved by those that use them. If keeping your costs as low as possible is the important thing, then the Nurit 8320 should be your choice. If you like the convenience of the Way System and want to go wireless then choose a wireless as your gift terminal.
